    Details

The Grated Skid was designed for cleanliness and versatility. The grated floor allows dirt, small debris, water and other liquid to fall through, making the floor easier to clean. The design also promotes better ventilation. The skid comes with removable runners, which offer multiple benefits including fast, easy changes without needing to replace the entire skid. You also have the option of adding a solid floor plate. The grated skid is as strong as our roto skid and easier to move.

The grated skid is built tough but easy to maneuver, and we have the test results to prove it. In drop tests, a unit equipped with a grated skid was dropped 15 consecutive times from a height of 4 feet on the corner, and there was no cracking of any kind. It performed as well as our roto skid, which is known for having the best durability in the industry. We also built a unit and left it in a 6-degree freezer overnight before conducting the same drop tests. Again, this resulted in no cracks or structural damage, showing that the skid performs well in all climates.

In maneuverability tests, we found that a unit with the grated skid could be moved using less force than a unit with the roto skid. The comparison on different surfaces went as follows:

Grass – Grated required an average of 14 pounds less force to move the unit
Blacktop – Grated required an average of 12 pounds less force to move the unit
Gravel – Grated required an average of 10 pounds less force to move the unit
